Financing an SCPI investment
An SCPI (French property investment company) lets you invest in real estate without managing a property directly. Acquisition of shares can be financed by a loan, fully or partly.
How does the financing work?
You borrow to acquire shares; income distributed by the SCPI, which is not guaranteed, may help cover the payment. Lenders study your overall situation and your ability to repay independently of that income.
- Amortising or interest-only loan depending on the case
- Partial deposit or full financing depending on the file
- Your assets and income are taken into account
Risks to know
SCPI investment carries risks: capital is not guaranteed, income can vary, share liquidity is not assured and the horizon is long. Borrowing amplifies these variations: the loan remains due even if income falls. For official information on investments, see the French financial markets authority (amf-france.org).
Our role
We handle the financing. Choosing the SCPI is your decision, based on the regulatory documents supplied by the management company.
